One of the most common consultations is to assess wisdom tooth extraction. In these cases, Dr. Machuca will always perform an initial assessment with X-rays and examination of the affected area to plan the extraction if indicated.
There are times when it is necessary to extract teeth that are no longer restorable. In these cases, it is worth considering implants as the most conservative option to replace the lost tooth.
In more complex cases, it may be additionally necessary to perform a bone graft or a sinus lift. A prior study of each case through X-rays and CT scans allows us to plan everything needed to restore your smile and explain the step-by-step process from the very beginning.
We also perform fenestrations of impacted teeth (for example in the palate) to guide them with orthodontics to the proper position.
In some cases, to achieve the perfect smile, as a complement to veneer or reconstruction treatment, the gum line needs to be reshaped to harmonize the margins of all the teeth visible when you smile. We achieve this with gingivectomy in simpler cases, or with crown lengthening in more complex cases.
